A superb ladies version of Calibre’s award-winning full-suspension mountain bike, designed and built specifically for women – available exclusively at GO Outdoors.
MBR’s Bike of the Year 2015 attracted praise from both newcomers and experienced riders alike, and building on this Calibre have produced the equally impressive Calibre Bossnut Ladies. Built around the original geometry, with the addition of women’s specific components and suspension tuning, it still gives the same confidence-inspiring stability whilst being able to respond sharply to aggressive riding.
This full-suspension bike will help you conquer those rough, steeper terrains that a hardtail simply can’t handle, giving you plenty of scope for future upgrading as your riding progresses.
It has a double-butted aluminium frame with a smooth-welded front triangle and a single pivot swing arm designed around 130mm travel platform, giving an ideal amount of suspension for all-round trail riding.
The RockShox Sektor Silver Solo Air fork and the Monarch R rear shock, now with a specific set up to offer plush air-sprung suspension with rebound adjustment, the front fork being lockout-equipped for efficient pedaling when suspension isn’t required. The rear shock maintains traction over rough ground, giving you greater control of your bike and letting you power through terrain that would previously have you grabbing your brakes.
The full Shimano Deore 2×10 groupset includes a clutch-equipped Shadow+ rear mech for improved chain retention, rugged enough to take serious trail abuse whilst still providing precise, efficient performance. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and their integrated I-spec lever design, bolts together with the gear levers for a tidy, easy-to-use cockpit. The crank lengths have been shortened to a women’s appropriate length.
Deore hubs and tubeless-ready WTB ST i23 rims continue the upgrading theme, allowing you to make the move to tubeless tyres with a minimum of fuss. The WTB Vigilante sits on the front wheel to provide extra control and grip while cornering, while the Bee Line’s lower tread keeps the rear wheel rolling fast.
Ritchey provide their famous high-quality aluminium components for the seatpost, stem and handlebars now with narrower grips for women’s hands and women’s specific bar widths. Upgraded for the female rider with WTB Speed She saddle for increased comfort.
